“Frente al Silencio” [In Front of Silence] is an attempt to break the complicit silence that aides the barbarity that human beings are capable of inflicting.  A silence that Félix Grande was able to break with his poem “La Cabellera de la Shoá” [The Shoah Knight].  Elimination, dehumanization, contempt, terror… but also reflection, condemnation, the search for a language capable of narrating the turmoil, the emotion, the impact, the stirring of one’s conscience… an attempt to be one more echo of the poem.

“In Front of Slience, the horror of Auschwitz uses a fragmented language in which the poet discovers a way to tell us his truth.” JUAN JOSÈ LANZ (extract from the epilogue of the current edition of” La cabellera de la Shoá”)
