On Tuesday, May 18th, South Africa-based musical artist and traditional healer Majola Ganymede will debut his latest EP Intsimi ka Arthur in a short film by the same name. Inspired by a journey to the Mississippi Delta, Majola's music explores his relationship to his own ancestral lands. Presentation is in English and Xhosa with English subtitles. Screening will be followed by a conversation between Majola, Olivier Award-winning actress Noma Dumezweni and Murray Nossel, founder of the World Mother Storytelling Project.

Majola Ganymede is originally from ZwelitshaTownship in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. At the age of 10 he joined The Heroes Of Faith, a local group which gained regional fame through a series of performances on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. He has obtained a performers’ diploma in Musical Theatre from Tshwane University of Technology.

In 2007 he launched his career as a performer for Royal Caribbean Productions in the USA.

 In 2012 he created and produced the musical drama, Isini Siyini Na Kuthando? (What's gender go to do with love). Isini has been staged at the Market Theatre Laboratory and at Wits University's Amphitheatre, as part of Sex-actually festival.

He released his debut album Boet/Sissy in 2014 , the album earned a nomination at the Arts and Culture Trust's Impact Awards. Two compositions from Boet/Sissy featured in the first season of Mzansi Magic drama series, It's Complicated.

 His writing has been published on The Times, Rand Daily Mail and The Sowetan. His writing has also featured on Notedman and Mamba Online magazines.

 Inspired by student protests which gripped South Africa's imagination in 2016, He created a platform called Ezezwe with the aim of uniting scholars, artists and ordinary people to join in conversation to seek solutions in challenges facing Education. The conversations gave birth to the collaborative album: Moya (Spirit).

In 2018, Majola was officially initiated into the path of a healer, a path he is still being initiated in.

Noma Dumezweni is an award winning actress, her theatre credits include: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress (West End/Broadway); Linda (Royal Court); The Winter’s Tale (The RSC); Carmen Disruption (Almeida); A Raisin in the Sun – Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress (Young Vic); A Human Being Died That Night (Hampstead/Fugard Theater, Capetown/Market Theatre, Johannesburg). Her film credits include: Mary Poppins Returns, The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind. Television includes: The Undoing, Black Earth Rising, Made For Love.

Murray Nossel Ph.D is a storytelling impresario, performer and coach based in New York City. After emigrating to New York in the early 1990s, working with dying AIDS patients led to Murray creating the listening and storytelling method, which has subsequently been applied in medical, educational, organizational and business settings.

Murray has worked extensively in the global social justice milieu, teaching leaders of marginalized populations to advocate for the needs of their communities. In 2003 he received an Oscar nomination for his documentary Why Can't we be a family again? In 2004, his award winning film Paternal Instinct aired on HBO and the BBC. He is also founder and director of the World Mother storytelling project, a movement to inspire people to listen to and tell mothers' stories.
