World music takes over The Town Hall with a special performance by the Croatian Radio Television Tamburitza Orchestra featuring Croatian Navy choral group "Klapa Sv. Juraj" and soloists: Krunoslav "Kico" Slabinac, Sandra Bagaric, Gianni Stipanicev.

Exceptional repertoire will take you from centuries old traditional Croatian folk songs to the well-known Holiday songs specially prepared for this performance.

ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA:
In over seven decades of the existence, Orchestra toured  Australia, Malaysia, Canada and dozens of European cities.  This is Orchestra’s second visit to the USA. In 2004 Orchestra performed six sold out concerts bringing a tradition and cultural heritage of Croatia.

ABOUT TAMBURITZA:
The tamburitza is the most popular and most common of the national instruments of the Croatian people. It is a stringed instrument related to the Russian balalaika, the Ukrainian bandura and the Italian mandolin. Its name originated from the Turkish language and made its first appearance in the Balkan region in the 14th Century.
