Guitarist and musical director Stephane Wrembel's Django A Gogo Festival is proud to feature a live US premiere from the legendary French trio of Angelo Debarre, Serge Camps, and Franck Anastasio, the artists behind the trailblazing 1989 LP Gypsy Guitars. With guest Simba Baumgartner, Reinhardt’s great-grandson Also joining Wrembel’s world-class band - featuring Ari Folman-Cohen on bass, Josh Kaye on guitar, Nick Driscoll on woodwinds and Nick Anderson on drums - are guitarists Hugo Guezbar and Adrien Marco, violinist and vocalist Aurore Voilqué, and pianist Jean-Michel Pilc. Django A Gogo is New York City's longest-running appreciation for the "gypsy jazz" compositions created by instrumental genius Django Reinhardt.

The evening will be a celebration of a musical form that has continually evolved under its devoted practitioners, perhaps none so persistent as Wrembel, including many highlights of the Django canon performed alongside reinterpretations and playful improvisations, all in the spirit of the evening’s beloved namesake.

Don't miss guitarist Stephane Wrembel's celebration of the legendarily influential "gypsy jazz" musician and composer Django Reinhardt!
