  Legendary Ladies series launches with Bette Davis Bette Davis appears in the first of the "Legendary Ladies" series dreamed up by veteran film publicist John Springer, the idea - to present great scenes from her greatest movies and then to meet the lady herself. Others that appeared in the series are Joan Crawford, Sylvia Sydney, Myrna Loy, and later, Rosalind Russell and Lana Turner.
