A highlight of The Town Hall Educational Outreach Program is the Summer Internship Program which provides high school students with experience in all aspects of the performing arts. The Summer Internship Program is a competitive six week paid school-to-career program that places high school students from participating high schools in performing art venues throughout New York City. Student interns acquire marketable skills in the interrelated fields of stagecraft and arts administration. These include lighting and set design, stage and house management, research and editing, and financial management of arts organizations. Job and life skills are taught hand in hand, enabling interns to pursue higher education and careers in stagecraft and arts administration. Past interns have found jobs in the arts industry as a result of their internship.
