World Music Institute (WMI) regrets that Vicente Amigo’s concert scheduled for March 29 is cancelled.
Vicente Amigo was very much looking forward to his return to New York City but had to withdraw for personal reasons. Full refunds available at point of purchase. WMI hopes to reschedule a performance by this remarkable artist next year, please check back at WMI’s website for information and updates.
One of the most innovative Flamenco guitarists of his generation, Spain’s multi-Latin Grammy winning Vicente Amigo has toured the world and been honored with many of his native country’s most important awards. A transcendent performer, composer and producer, Amigo burst onto the major stages of amenco while still a teenager and set out early on to explore the possibilities of fusions in his recordings and collaborations. He has returned to his traditional flamenco roots with his latest studio album, Memoria de los Sentidos. For this concert, Amigo will perform pure Flamenco accompanied by guitarist Anil Fernandez, with Paquito Gonzalez on cajon and Rafael de Utrera on vocals.
