We are reaching out to let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are rescheduling the upcoming John Henry's Friend's Benefit with Steve Earle at Town Hall. Our team is working diligently to finalize a new date with a different lineup and new special guests in the near future.

A note from David Byrne:

"I was truly looking forward to joining Steven and his friend Terry Allen in this show- and supporting the school's better understanding for neurodivergent folks of all ages. Had songs picked out and everything, but an unexpected medical situation was discovered and sadly the treatment is scheduled the week of the show. It can't be changed"

A Note from Steve Earle:

"Our sincere thanks to David Byrne for his willingness to suit up and show up for the kids at the Keswell School and we WILL be circling back to him to anchor a future John Henry’s Friends concert. Meanwhile we will be putting together a new line up and announcing a new date for this years show as soon as possible. John Henry’s Friends at Keswell depend on all our support and we will not let them down. Stand By!"

On December 19th, 2022, City Winery and Steve Earle are hosting the 8th annual John Henry's Friends benefit concert to raise funds for children diagnosed with autism. Joining Steve Earle and The Dukes will be David Byrne and Terry Allen The Mastersons and the Matt Savage Quartet who will each join with short sets of their own, making an unforgettable night of amazing music. All net ticket proceeds will be donated to ​The Keswell School, an educational program for children and young adults with autism.​ ​Founded on the belief that children diagnosed with ASD can live full and productive lives as integrated members of their communities​, ​The Keswell School provides educational, therapeutic and supportive services for children diagnosed with ASD and their families. This is a topic dear to Steve, as his son, John Henry, attends the school.
