This year’s “Embrace China - New York” will stage the Chinese acrobatic performance, brought by the China National Acrobatic Troupe (CNAT), the world-renowned acrobatic troupe in China. CNAT creatively combines tradition with innovation in its performances. It not only preserves its traditional programs, it also integrates music, dance, drama, Chinese Kungfu, Beijing Opera etc. into its acts. Its fantastic shows are internationally recognized. Acts such as “Diabolos” won the President Award at the “26th International Circus Festival of Tomorrow” in France; “Pagoda of Bowls” won Golden Clown Award at the “28th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo”; and “Dream Chasing in the Sky- Swinging High Crutches” won President Award at the “32nd International Circus Festival of Tomorrow” in France. During the past six decades, CNAT has won 55 golden Awards at famous festivals at both national and international levels. Famous vocalists and traditional instrument players from China will also join and perform at this grand gala, performing both traditional and modern Chinese music, including the music of the minority ethnicities of the country. This will surely enrich the contents of this year’s event and bring audiences a unique artistic feast.
