Featuring Animation Block Party (NYC, USA)
The Best of Animation Block Party at Rooftop Films will be part of the brand new Best Fest Film Series at Town Hall. Animation Block program will include highlights from a decade of ABP-Rooftop collaborations. Films include I Am Tom Moody by Ainslie Henderson, Sidewalk by Celia Bullwinkel, Re-Collection by Nicholas Kallincos, etc.

A panel discussion with Animation Block founder, Casey Safron, Rooftop Films Program Director, Dan Nuxoll plus award winning filmmakers Julia Pott (Belly) and Leah Shore (Old Man) will follow screening.

Animation Block Party, the largest animation festival on the East Coast, was attended by over 4500 fans, filmmakers, industry executives and distributors in 2013, receiving press in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Gotham Magazine etc. Indiewire says, "The coolest (and arguably one of the best) animation festivals in the United States is... Animation Block Party."

Rooftop Films is a non-profit film organization based in Brooklyn with a mission to engage and inspire diverse communities by showing movies in outdoor locations, produce new films, teach filmmaking to young people and rent low-cost equipment to artists and non-profits. Rooftop Films has been bringing underground movies outdoors since 1997.
